Job summary

ShopRite of Passaic is hiring a Meat Clean-Up Clerk to maintain a clean, sanitary Meat Department and related areas. You will perform cleaning, sanitizing, and basic stocking while ensuring safety and compliance with health standards.

Ideal candidates read well, can perform basic math, and lift 35 lb regularly with occasional 80–90 lb lifts. The role requires excellent teamwork and customer-friendly interactions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading, writing and verbal English skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Capable of lifting 35 lbs regularly and 80-90 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat and safe Meat Department area.
• Sanitize surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Handle and operate department equipment with safety in mind.
• Assist with stock, pricing, and customer service duties.
