Job summary

Harps Foods is seeking a Meat Clerk to support department operations, merchandising, and customer service. You will help ensure department readiness, supervise staff as needed, maintain displays, and keep equipment and workspaces clean and safe.

Responsibilities include replenishment, inventory procedures, pricing accuracy, and adhering to safety and quality standards while delivering friendly service that meets customers' needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year previous experience in meat market preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adaptable to different situations and shifting priorities.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Moves, lifts and places merchandise up to 50 pounds, without assistance.
• Stands/walks continuously during shift.
• May be exposed to weather, cleaning solvents, latex, eggs, nuts, soy and wheat.

Responsibilities

• Support meat department operations including readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, department financial goals and cleanliness, and safe use of equipment and tools.
• Support meat department replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing, back stock, reclaimation and returns, damages and reworks, supply use, and inventory preparation.
• Support merchandising and sales floor standards including proper stocking, rotation, signing, displays, sampling, and overall department procedures.
• Adhere to equipment procedures, including cleaning and maintenance.
