Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Clerk to provide prompt, friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood Department. You will wrap, trim, stock cases, receive merchandise, and assist customers with product selection while upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, perform sanitation tasks, prep and display seafood items, and help with labeling, signing, and stocking to ensure a positive shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; food safety training.
• Six months or less of similar or related work.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers and assisting with product selection.
• Wraps, trims, labels, and stocks meat and seafood products.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and displays.
• Replenishes and organizes coolers and cases; ensures freshness of products.
• Assists in receiving merchandise and stocking shelves.
• Works with team to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.
