Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets in Murrieta, CA is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver G.O.A.T. service—Greet, Observe, Assist, Thank—and assist customers with meat selections while ensuring freshness and display quality.

You will support daily department operations, including cutting, trimming, packaging, labeling, and inventory controls, while adhering to food safety standards and company policies to provide a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• A valid Food Handler / Health Card.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Assist the customer with purchases of products and other services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions, etc.
• Wrap, weigh, trim, price, and adjust pricing for all meat department products in compliance with company policies, food safety standards, customer protection laws, and weights and measures regulations.
• Maintain the proper supply of products in the cases and packaged deli through proper rotation and display of product per company standards and schematics
• Adhere to all safety, health, weights and measures regulations, and company recipes; operate meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.
