Job summary

Fresh Grocer Upper Darby is seeking a Meat Department Associate to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the Meat Department and related areas. You will ensure equipment and fixtures stay clean and sanitary, while following safety standards.

You must be able to lift up to 90 lbs, work in refrigerated spaces, and interact professionally with customers. The role requires teamwork, punctuality, and adherence to local health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English and interpret information.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for shift duration and work in varying temperatures.
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80–90 lbs occasionally.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, organized, and safe work areas in the Meat Department.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils, and equipment per standards.
• Move and rotate meat products and assist with inventory as needed.
• Operate and maintain Meat Department equipment safely.
• Adhere to company policies, safety rules, and sanitation procedures.
• Attend to loading/unloading and help with stocking meat products as required.
