Mackenthun’s Fine Foods in Minnetrista, MN is seeking a Meat Department Manager to oversee all operations of the Meat and Homemade Sausage departments, ensuring profitability, quality, and exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead staff, manage inventory and pricing, partner with suppliers, monitor food safety and department metrics, and drive training to develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of meat cutting or processing experience required.
• HACCP (Health and Food Safety) Certified and MN Food Manager Certification required (must be obtained post-hire).
• Certifications must be kept current.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and train department staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee inventory, pricing, and supplier relations for special orders.
• Monitor labor costs and scheduling to meet budget goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
