Job summary

Mackenthun’s Fine Foods in Minnetrista, MN, is seeking a Meat Department Manager to lead the Meat and Homemade Sausage departments, ensure quality, profitability, and exceptional guest service. You will supervise staff, manage inventory and labor, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain food safety standards to deliver Mackenthun’s Exceptional Experience.

The ideal candidate has meat-cutting experience, HACCP and MN Food Manager credentials, strong leadership, and a track record of driving

Qualifications

• Meat cutting/processing experience required (2+ years).
• HACCP and MN Food Manager Certification required (post-hire if not current).
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities with attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and train department staff to consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to foster growth.
• Ensure productivity and high employee morale through effective leadership and conflict resolution.
• Meet or exceed departmental financial targets including sales, labor, and inventory control.
• Oversee inventory, rotations, ordering, and supplier relations for quality products.
• Enforce health, sanitation, and safety regulations in all department activities.
