Joseph’s Classic Market in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is seeking a Meat Manager to lead the Meat department, uphold craftsmanship, and drive department performance in a family-owned, premium meat-focused store.

You will oversee cutting, packaging, merchandising, and product quality while managing budgets, labor, safety, and staff development. Join a tradition of excellence and mentor a high-performing team.

Formación

• 2+ years leadership in meat retail or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of meat cutting, sourcing, portion control, and safety standards.
• Leadership and team development experience.
• ServSafe or food safety certification or willingness to obtain.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and work in refrigerated environments.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily Meat department operations including cutting, packaging, merchandising, and service.
• Ensure products meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards; rotate using FIFO.
• Enforce food safety standards, sanitation, and proper storage procedures.
• Manage inventory, orders, budgets, and labor planning; monitor shrink and costs.
• Provide knowledgeable customer service and guidance on preparation.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise meat cutters and staff; conduct coaching and performance evaluations.
• Lead daily huddles and communicate department metrics to leadership; participate in planning.
• Support maintenance of department procedures and disciplinary actions when needed.
