Job summary

ShopRite of Brookside Plaza in Enfield, CT is seeking a Meat Manager to lead the Meat Department and its associates, driving sales, profitability, and customer experience.

You will supervise all functions, enforce safety and QA standards, coach staff, and ensure engaging service while maintaining department operations. This full-time role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 90 lbs, and the ability to train and mentor a team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English; basic math skills.
• Able to stand/walk for scheduled shifts.
• Lift 35 lbs routinely; up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and spices.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust.
• Interact with Customers in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Meat Department functions and associates.
• Achieve department goals: sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement.
• Supervise safety, QA, and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Lead training, development, and performance feedback for associates.
• Maintain department readiness: pricing, stocking, cleanliness, and labeling.
• Ensure consistent customer service and engagement.
