Northeast Grocery in Cooperstown, NY, is seeking a Meat Department Manager to oversee daily operations of the meat, deli, frozen and custom cut areas. You will manage scheduling, training, ordering, inventory control and adherence to safety and sanitation standards to achieve budgeted targets.

The role requires strong leadership, 3+ years of related experience, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Proper handling and merchandising of all meat products according to company policy.
• Display and express knowledge of all meat products to customers.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation per 5S standards.
• Achieve budgeted financial figures for the Meat Department as per store profit plan.
• Manage day-to-day Meat Department operations, including scheduling and training.
• Order meat products and ensure inventory control methods are in place.
• Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers and grinders; maintain safety standards.
• Oversee Meat Department associates and train staff per policies and procedures.
• Maintain corporate assets within the meat department.
• Adhere to sanitation and temperature guidelines and inspections.
• Maintain grind logs and meat logs per store policy.
• Be available to manage the store as needed by the Store Manager.
• Control shrink through policy adherence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
