Albertsons Companies is seeking a Meat Department Manager to lead the daily Meat Department operations, uphold freshness and safety standards, and ensure an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will supervise staff, plan production and inventory, and drive promotions while maintaining compliance with food safety guidelines and company standards. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a meat department or similar retail team.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and manage labor and production.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment and respond to inquiries and special orders.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising.
• Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards.
• Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements.
• Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals.
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment.
• Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations.
