Albertsons Companies is seeking a Meat Department Manager to lead daily department operations with a focus on service, quality, and profitability. You will oversee prep, packaging, stocking, merchandising, and promotional programs while ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.

You will train and coach associates, manage inventory and budgets, and maintain displays to company standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations.
• Respond to customer inquiries and special orders to maintain a professional environment.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising.
• Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards.
• Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements.
• Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals.
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment.
• Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations.
• Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits.
