Job summary

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in Missouri is seeking a Meat Manager to lead the Meat Department, drive sales and margins, and supervise staff with a focus on service and quality. You will ensure proper inventory, pricing, and safety while delivering an excellent customer experience.

You will manage weekly labor planning, coordinate with store leadership, and maintain department standards in a fast-paced, growing market.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years professional experience in grocery/meat departments preferred.
• Journeyman cutter program completed is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly meat dept sales and labor projections to maximize sales and profits.
• Control costs, inventory, cutting procedures, and displays.
• Supervise Meat Department staff: hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluations.
• Oversee department shifts and write/approve schedules.
• Ensure product in stock for ads and proper pricing and tagging.
• Maintain meat case presentation, storage, and cleanliness; follow safety rules.
