Job summary

Price Rite is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to lead the Meat Department and Perishable staff, ensuring product quality, proper sanitation, and strong customer interactions. This role reports to Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager and requires overseeing operations and staff development.

The position emphasizes supervision, training, and adherence to safety and company policies while maintaining a high standard of presentation and service across departments.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English.
• Basic math skills: percent, addition, subtraction.
• Understand and follow directions.
• Must lift up to 35 pounds regularly, up to 75 lbs.
• Prior meat and/or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop and manage Meat Department staff.
• Ensure sanitation, merchandising and presentation.
• Control payroll and recordkeeping per Company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Meet sales and shrink objectives.
• Train and develop team members.
• Communicate with management to meet daily priorities.
