Job summary

Price Rite in Waterbury is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to lead the Meat and Perishable staff and maintain high standards for safety, sanitation and presentation.

The role requires English fluency, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Previous supervisory experience in a meat department is preferred, with a daytime/evening/weekend schedule and a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English.
• Perform basic math: percentages, addition, subtraction.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop and manage the Meat Department and Perishable staff.
• Organize, clean and maintain coolers, freezers and cases.
• Stock, merchandise and sign meat department to enhance sales and presentation.
• Supervise, train and develop team members; communicate with all management levels.
• Achieve sales goals and shrink objectives; ensure customer service excellence.
• Follow company policies on safety, sanitation and security.
