Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information for informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a safety-focused organization.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across hourly roles and leadership positions.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day operations across store departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while maintaining company standards.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning; participate in promotion decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and recommend discharge when needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales, and reducing shrink.
• Maintain store appearance focused on prime shopping hours and product presentation.
• Ensure the team is trained and consistently delivers exceptional service.
• Spend most time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
