Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Wheaton, IL is seeking a Meat Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the meat department. You will deliver courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members, uphold SOPs, and support store programs and health regulations.

Responsibilities include keeping displays fresh, maintaining back stock, assisting with sampling, cleaning cases and floors, and ensuring accurate signing and pricing.

• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.

• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members.

Responsibilities

• Maintains fresh and appealing display by checking quality and stocking cases.
• Keeps back stock in good order and assists with sampling program.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors and drains as required.
• Arrives on time, groomed and prepared to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides courteous customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Preps, stores, rotates and merchandises products to maximize sales potential.
• Follows health, sanitation, weights and measures, and safety procedures.
• Maintains clean, sanitary work and shopping environments; keeps equipment clean.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations; performs other duties as assigned.
