ShopRite of Galloway is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk to maintain a clean and sanitary Meat Department and surrounding areas. You will perform cleaning, sanitation, and basic duties to ensure high standards of operation and customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualified applicants should be able to lift up to 90 lbs, work in variable temperatures, and interact with customers in a courteous manner.

Formación

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for full shifts; tolerate varying temperatures.
• Adhere to health, safety, and civil code regulations.
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 90 lbs occasionally.
• Handle fresh, dried, and processed products and cleaning agents safely.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, utensils, and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Assemble/disassemble Meat Department equipment (e.g., band saws, grinders).
• Monitor cleaning supplies; inform manager when stock is low.
• Work in refrigerated and frozen environments with temperature variations.
• Know location of items and price checks; assist customers with promotions.
• Stand at the workstation for the full shift; comply with attendance policies.
• Dress and groom according to policy; follow QA and safety procedures.
• Perform all duties in line with ShopRite Service Priorities (Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, Efficiency).
• Maintain sanitation and HIP/HazCom guidelines; ensure proper handling of chemicals.
