Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Meat Clerk to assist the Meat Department with high-level customer service and safe food handling. The role includes stocking, pricing updates, and ensuring quality and rotation in both fresh and frozen sections.

Responsibilities cover merchandise, cleanliness, and promotional support, with an early start time of 5:00 am. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and 1+ year meat department experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years meat department experience
• Proven ability to provide high level customer service
• Knowledge of safe food handling procedures (HACCP) or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Stocking and merchandising in both fresh and frozen cases.
• Update product pricing as necessary.
• Ensures product quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.
• Rewrap meat packages as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ensures great customer experience.
• Maintains pork rind rack clean and organized.
• Keeps meat displays clean and presentable.
• Store cleaning supplies properly.
• Advertise department products.
• 5:00 am start time.
• Other duties as assigned.
