Job summary

PAQ, Inc. is seeking a Meat Deli Clerk to assist the Meat Manager with stock management, order processing, and delivering a positive customer experience. The role includes preparing ground meat, packaging, labeling, rotating stock, and maintaining department cleanliness.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Meat Clerk experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to utilize ordering equipment and review invoices to ensure accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs as needed.
• Ability to follow marketing plans for effective space management based on product movement, customer demand and profitability.
• Ability to follow company protocols for receiving product to ensure product quality standards and accuracy of quantity.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safety protocols including food safety and properly utilizing and maintaining necessary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ordering meat deli section items to maximize sales, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains clean and organized freezer to maximize efficiency and inventory accuracy.
• Stocks meat deli items efficiently and rotates stock to minimize out of date products.
• Ensures proper rotation and quality control to minimize out of stock items.
• Replenishes fresh, frozen, and other meat products as assigned.
• Prepare ground meat using a meat grinder and package/label products as needed.
• Monitor displays and refill out-of-stock items for customer purchases.
• Maintain inventory control to ensure freshness and turnover.
• Follow safety policies and local regulations.
