Typical duties include rotating stock, replenishing fresh and frozen meat, and ensuring proper labeling and safety compliance in a refrigerated environment. The position is full-time in Salinas, CA.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Meat Clerk experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to review invoices for accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs as needed.
• Strong verbal communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Order deli items to maximize sales and minimize shrink.
• Maintain clean, organized freezers for efficiency and accuracy.
• Stock deli items following procedures for quality and rotation.
• Ensure product is rotated and within code dates.
• Replenish meat in sales floor, cooler and freezer.
• Prepare ground meat using a meat grinder and package fresh products.
• Check displays for out-of-stock items and restock for customers.
