Job summary

Selectemp in Eugene, Oregon seeks an experienced Meat Cutter to prepare, trim, and package quality meat products. You’ll cut with knives and tools, follow strict food safety procedures, and work in a refrigerated environment with a dedicated team.

The role offers a weekday schedule, competitive pay starting at $21.00 per hour, overtime as needed, and benefits after 30 days. Prior meat-cutting or grocery department experience preferred, with emphasis on accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience as Meat Cutter/Butcher or in a grocery meat department.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of proper meat-cutting techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety.
• Comfort working in refrigerated environments.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products to meet customer specs and quality standards.
• Using knives and meat-cutting tools safely and efficiently.
• Cleaning and preparing carcasses while following food safety procedures.
• Packaging meat products using vacuum-sealing equipment.
• Loading, unloading, and organizing products and materials.
• Working in refrigerated environments while maintaining a clean workspace.
• Supporting daily production goals with accuracy and quality.
