Job summary

Family Fare in Wyoming, MI is seeking a part-time Meat Cutter to cut and prepare meats according to department standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will handle trimming, weighing, and packaging, assist customers, maintain a clean department, and follow safety guidelines. Prior meat cutting or retail experience preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year retail or related experience preferred; meat cutter experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh meat for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per established guidelines.
• Follow recipes to grind and tray meats and sausage.
• Price, date, wrap and bag meat products per established guidelines.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked department.
• Notify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Receive, unload and stock merchandise.
• Assist customers with product knowledge.
