Job summary

ShopRite of Hillsdale in Hillsdale, NJ is hiring a Meat Cutter Clerk to deliver a great customer experience in the Meat Department. You will cut meat and prepare related products according to company standards and help customers select items.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking English, basic math, safe food handling, and the ability to lift up to 90 lbs. Flexibility for varying temperatures and full shift hours is expected. Vision, dental and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, speaks, analyzes and understands English.
• Basic math skills required.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to operate Meat Department equipment such as band saws, grinders and wrappers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Cut and trim meat according to Company specifications.
• Rotate products in meat cases and remove outdated items.
• Follow QA and sanitation standards; ensure proper price marking and restocking.
• Assist customers with selections and provide courteous service.
