Job summary

PW Retail Foods LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Meat Cutter to process, prepare and package meat products to our quality standards. You will operate knives and machines, ensure proper temps, and maintain clean, safe work areas while delivering courteous service to shoppers.

This full-time role requires ability to read, write, and perform basic math, with physical stamina to lift up to 100 lb and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Process, prepare and package meat products in compliance with company policy and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area to meet sanitation standards.
• Accurately weigh, label and price meat products for sale.
• Display attendance, initiative, productivity, quality and safety in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process, prepare and package meat products in compliance with company policy and Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding Meat operations, safety, and sanitation
• Maintain a clean work area
• Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, prep area, freezer, and cases and are in working condition
• Maintain adequate meat supplies
• Maintain proper case conditions, including cleaning, stocking, straightening, and rotating product
• Achieve financial goals such as sales and gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
• Direct subordinates in implementing plan of action and goal attainment
• Promote sales through courteous and friendly customer service
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
• Provide support to area stores when staff is absent, as directed
