Job summary

Shaw’s and Star Market in Stratham, NH is seeking a dedicated Meat Cutter. You’ll prepare beef, poultry, and other cuts for display, trimming, packaging, and labeling to meet quality and safety standards.

You’ll interact with customers, fulfill special cut requests, keep the department organized, and operate basic meat‑handling equipment in a refrigerated setting, while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• Clear communication when assisting customers and fulfilling special cut requests.
• Experience trimming, cutting, and preparing meat products using standard techniques.
• Handling knives, grinders, saws, and wrapping equipment following safety guidelines.
• Accuracy in portioning, packaging, labeling, and maintaining product quality.
• Familiarity with meat cuts, preparation methods, and cooking recommendations.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safe food handling practices.
• Managing workflow while maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
• Maintaining well‑stocked and visually consistent meat displays.
• Following company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Comfort with standing for extended periods, working in cold environments, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
