Albertsons Companies in Colorado Springs is seeking a Meat Cutter to prepare beef, poultry and other meat products for display. You will trim, portion, wrap and label items while helping customers with special cut requests and maintaining high quality standards.

Ideal candidates have meat-cutting experience, ability to operate knives and grinders safely, and a strong focus on sanitation, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced, cold environment.

Qualifications

• Customer interaction and communication with shoppers
• Experience trimming, cutting and preparing meat products
• Ability to handle knives, grinders, saws and wrapping equipment safely
• Maintain accurate portioning, labeling and packaging
• Knowledge of meat cuts, prep methods and cooking recommendations
• Understand sanitation and safety practices in a meat department
• Manage workflow and keep work areas clean and organized
• Maintain well-stocked, visually appealing meat displays
• Follow company policies, safety requirements and regulatory guidelines
• Stand for long periods, work in cold environments, lift up to 75 lbs

Responsibilities

• Prepare beef, poultry and other meat products for display and sale
• Trim, cut, portion, wrap and label products to quality standards
• Interact with customers, answer questions and fulfill special cut requests
• Operate department equipment safely and maintain clean, sanitary work areas
• Maintain accurate inventory, displays and merchandising standards
