Scope of Position

Reporting directly to the Meat Department Manager, responsibilities include unpacking, cutting, trimming, packaging, grinding, processing meats, customer service, and sanitizing equipment and the department as required.

Basic Function

Ensure department products are received, processed, packaged, and displayed according to department standards. Provide effective customer service.

Position Specific Requirements

• Previous experience in meat cutting or willingness to undergo Fox Bros. apprenticeship.
• Ability to work with meat and fish products.
• Maintain personal and departmental health and sanitation practices in compliance with State Health Regulations/Mandates to protect public health. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
• Operate department equipment safely and efficiently (must be 18+).
• Work in a cold, damp, and wet environment and meet physical demands.

Equipment/Tools Operated

Proficiency with equipment such as saws, grinders, tenderizers, vacuum tumblers, scales, wrapping machines, slicers, knives, and sanitizing equipment.
