Job summary

Meijer is seeking a dedicated team member to support daily fresh meat operations at our Michigan location. You will assist in writing fresh meat orders, organize deliveries, and help maintain positive relationships with customers and team leaders.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of weights and measures in meat processing, safety compliance, and inventory control, plus experience with Computer Assisted Ordering and a valid Handjack/HiLo license.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure in meat processing.
• Ability to follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience with inventory control and product presentation.
• Experience with Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) applications.
• Current Handjack/HiLo license.

This position assists in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. The individual also follows the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts.

• Assisting in the writing of fresh meat orders.
• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.
