Job summary

Snelling Austin is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our production team in Austin, TX. The role focuses on cutting, trimming, and portioning meat to meet customer specifications, while maintaining clean, sanitary work areas and following USDA/HACCP guidelines.

You will operate knives and cutting tools, weigh and label products, and collaborate with production and packaging teams to keep schedules on track. Candidates should be comfortable in cold environments and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in meat cutting or food processing; training provided.
• Ability to work in cold environments (35–45°F) and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to product quality.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
