Meat Cutter

Carlie C's IGA is seeking an EXPERIENCED Meat Cutter to fill an immediate opening. Only candidates with prior experience in all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken in a grocery store meat market environment will be considered. The ideal candidate is proficient in using band saws, slicers, cubers, grinders, and knives to cut all types of meat. Wrapping skills are also required, along with maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

This is a full-time position with optional company benefits. Candidates must work 40 hours per week, including weekends and most holidays. Providing prompt and friendly customer service is a top priority, and being courteous and cooperative with customers and coworkers is essential for success and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, grinding, slicing, trimming, weighing, sealing, packaging, and labeling products.
• Unloading trucks, storing products properly, checking product dates, and rotating stock.
• Sanitizing and cleaning equipment and keeping the meat department clean.
• Assisting customers in finding products and providing friendly service at the counter.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 80 lbs without assistance.
• At least 18 years old, friendly, neat, and clean in appearance.
• Enjoy working with the public and have a customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to read shelf tags, labels, and signs.
• Proven work record as a Meat Cutter.
