Position: Meat Cutter

Job Overview

The Senior Meat Cutter is responsible for demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of meat production according to Department standards. This role involves working in the Cutting Room and preparing meat items for sale. Key duties include following cutting lists for maximum yield and productivity, answering customer requests, providing custom cuts, grinding, chipping, chopping, wrapping, maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and machine upkeep. Secondary responsibilities may include working on the sales floor, stocking, rotating, pricing, merchandising, and assisting customers during evening or weekend shifts.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Availability: Must be able to work 35+ hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
2. Experience: Must be trained and experienced in all phases of meat production.
3. Physical Demands: Ability to lift, bend, stoop, pull, and push, with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
4. Other Considerations: Focus on productivity and customer relations, ability to work independently, reliability, and dependability.
