Job summary

Kj’s Market, a family-owned grocery in the Carolinas since 1922, invites you to join our meat department. You will provide friendly service, cut and prepare meat per standards, and help maintain cold storage and rotation of stock.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly and able to interact with guests smoothly.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Previous meat cutting experience required or preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepare meat for sale per store standards (cutting, weighing, trimming).
• Price, stock, and rotate frozen and fresh meat cases.
• Assist with special meat cuts and slicing requests.
• Maintain sanitation in cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Keep product fresh, properly dated, and properly displayed.
• Notify supervisor of temperature issues.
• Announce meat sale items over PA as needed.
• Assist in receiving and storage of products.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) according to Floco Foods standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special guests service requests (ie. special cuts, slicing, etc.).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
