Job summary

Kj's Market in Grovetown, GA is seeking a Meat Department Associate to join our fast-paced team. You will prepare and display meat products, weigh and trim items, and assist guests with special requests while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include stocking and rotating meat, ensuring sanitation, and communicating temperature issues. Prior meat cutting experience is preferred; training is provided in a friendly, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with guest service focus.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. continuously.
• Willingness to learn multiple meat-cutting tasks and procedures.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) per standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and fresh meats.
• Meets special customer requests (e.g., cuts, slicing).
• Maintains sanitation in cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Ensures high quality, fresh and properly dated products.
• Notifies supervisor of temperature issues.
• Announces meat sale items over PA system.
• Assists with product receiving and storage.
• Fulfills additional tasks assigned by management.

• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special customer service requests (ie. special cuts, slicing, etc.).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Previous meat cutting experience.
• Meat cutting skill test qualifications.
