Job summary

Kj’s Market is hiring for a meat department role. You will provide friendly guest service, prepare and display meat products to standard, and help with receiving and stocking in a fast-paced store environment.

The position requires lifting heavy loads, working in a cold environment, and the ability to stand for long periods. Prior meat-cutting experience is preferred; training is provided. Join a team that values pride in hometown service.

Qualifications

• Friendly, upbeat personality and willingness to help guests.
• Able to work in a cold retail environment and stand for long periods.
• Meat cutting experience preferred; training provided as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) according to Floco Foods standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special guests service requests (ie. special cuts, slicing, etc.).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
