Job summary

ShopRite of Timonium is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to join the Meat Department. You will cut and trim meat to company specifications, help customers with selections, and maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing department.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 80-90 lbs, and standing for long shifts in a refrigerated environment. Training is provided, and employment includes access to benefits per the CBA.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Ability to communicate with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs., and occasionally 80–90 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and in refrigerated environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Maintain sanitation according to policy and QA standards.
• Cut and trim meat according to specifications and handle related products.
• Assist customers with meat selections and provide courteous service.
• Rotate products and ensure proper pricing and display in meat cases.
• Follow all safety, quality, and department procedures.
