Job summary

The role requires 2 years of meat-cutting experience, basic math, reading level, knowledge of Mexican meat cuts, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. You will keep the area clean and report hazards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a meat cutter.
• Ability to read at an eighth-grade level.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Knowledge of the weight measurements.
• Ability to use the scales.
• Knowledge of Mexican meat cuts.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fill the display case and make the necessary separations of the different products (dairy, seafood, chicken and meat).
• Prepare marinades.
• Make different cuts of meat (Mexico / U.S.).
• Manage temperatures.
• Apply health standards.
• Clean the meat market area in general, including freezers.
• Keep the freezer clean and organized.
• PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER.
