Job summary

Weis Markets is hiring for a Meat Department Associate in a retail setting. You will receive shipments, stock cases, price items and ensure product rotation while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will cut and package meat/seafood, greet customers, follow safety rules, and may help other departments as needed. A GED or high school diploma with retail experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 2 years retail experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to follow department procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and price shipments; stock cases and ensure proper rotation.
• Maintain safe, clean work area per safety and sanitation rules.
• Adhere to weights, measures and labeling laws.
• Greet customers and take orders.
• Cut, tray and package meat and seafood products for the day.
• Use cutting tools safely; wear mesh gloves as required.
• Assist in pre-inventory prep and back stock tagging.
• May assist other departments as needed.
