Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Dedham, MA is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to joins its meat department team. You will cut, grind, and prepare fresh and processed meats, assist in seafood and deli areas, and maintain sanitation and safety standards across the department.

Daily duties include weighing, wrapping, labeling products, stocking cases, and delivering friendly service to Members. The role requires prior meat cutting experience and a readiness to work a fast-paced shift.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures and ensures sanitation and safety in the meat department.
