Shaw’s and Star Market in Concord, NH is seeking a Meat Cutter Apprentice to learn cutting, trimming, and displaying fresh meats. You’ll work with the meat team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, gaining hands-on skills through mentorship and on-the-job training.

No prior cutting experience is required. A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are valued as you develop basic meat-cutting techniques, food safety practices, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn on-the-job training and mentorship.
• Reliable, hardworking, and committed to learning and contributing to the team.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and safe handling practices for raw meat.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with the ability to assist customers and answer product questions.
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working in refrigerated environments.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and keep workspaces clean and organized.
• Willingness to partner with associates and contribute to a positive store culture.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn meat department tools and equipment.
