Overview
Join Sam’s Club as a Meat Cutter in the meat department. You’ll help with the quality, packaging, and display of meat items, supporting customer service and ensuring a quality shopping experience for members.
Base pay range
$17.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team and support flexible coverage across areas as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment.
- Prepare meat products according to established standards, including cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming, and packaging; maintain product quality standards.
- Leverage digital tools and handheld technology to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and make timely decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and member-ready work area; ensure quality and date control for meat products; secure fragile or high-shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage in accordance with company policies.
- Advocate for the department and club by delivering high-quality service and products, executing basics at the highest level, and showing energy and commitment.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; apply Open Door Policy in daily work processes and practices.
- Complete tasks by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners; manage priorities, deadlines, and progress; identify improvement opportunities; adapt to change and feedback.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Willingness to successfully complete required trainings and assessments within the specified time period if offered the position.
