Under direct supervision, the Meat Cutter breaks, cuts, and prepares meat products using hand tools and power equipment, according to company standards. Responsibilities include preparing meat for display or customer orders, working with customers on special orders, and collaborating with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager to determine cutting needs. The role requires the ability to perform very heavy lifting, as well as bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store. Essential physical requirements include lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory acuity.
