Job summary

A leading grocery retailer in Palatka, Florida seeks a skilled Meat Cutter. In this role, you will ensure the meat department meets company standards while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include cutting, packaging, and displaying meats to attract customers, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring sanitation. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have experience with meat cutting tools and lifting heavy items.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using equipment and tools is preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cut and package meats according to company policies.
• Prepare and display meat products attractively for customers.
• Inspect and store delivered meat to maintain quality.

Job Summary

The Meat Cutter ensures the store’s meat department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Meat Cutter delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s meat merchandising plan and trimming/preparing standard cuts of meat as outlined in the Meat Cutter Resource Manual.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies and procedures
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Assist with product ordering
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw (were certified to cut meat) preferred
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs
