Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is seeking an attentive meat handler to support daily meat orders and deliveries. You will assist in preparing fresh meat orders, organize deliveries, and maintain positive relations with customers and team members.

This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a retail meat department. Responsibilities include following sanitation procedures, presenting products well, and using CAO tools to manage orders.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measures in meat processing.
• Ability to follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

This position assists in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. The individual also follows the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts.

• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
