Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill in Lititz is seeking team members for a part-time role with open availability from 7am to 5pm and flexible weekends. The position offers a wage of $21.50 per hour and includes on-the-job training in a family-owned environment that values teamwork, respect, integrity, commitment and service.

Responsibilities include preparing and displaying meat products, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean, organized department.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced retail or deli operations preferred.
• Able to multi-task across meat products and departments.
• Team member should be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, wraps and displays meat & poultry according to SKH specifications.
• Prepares specialty items such as sausage, patties, ka-bobs and other items.
• Ties meat cuts by hand to form roasts and writes orders for turkey-related items.
• Cleans department area and equipment, keeps products and supplies organized.
• Operates price scale and updates price tags in coordination with scan department.
• Receives, unpacks cartons, checks invoices, and maintains floor cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Able to multi-task or adjust work focus regularly, to work with various different meat productssimultaneously, ie: beef, pork, chicken.
• Cuts, wraps and displays meat & poultry products according to SKH specifications.
• Prepares specialty items, such as sausage, patties, ka-bobs and others.
• Ties meat cuts by hand to form roasts.
• Writes orders or describes available specialty products, such as Turkeys for Thanksgiving.
• Cleans department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and displaycases; keeping products and supplies well organized.
• Operates equipment, if needed (if over 18 years of age).
• Operates price scale with knowledge of current prices. Prices or changes price tags onmerchandise referring to price list and in coordination with scan department.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice againstitems received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Rotates product according to departmental guidelines.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise in cases, on counters, or tables to attractcustomers and promote sales.
• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer request ensuring that product is ready on time.
• Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.

Qualifications

• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures whileworking in or around the coolers.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
