Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill in Lititz, PA is seeking a part-time meat department team member. The position requires early hours (7am-5pm), weekend flexibility, and open availability. Weekly pay and benefits are offered, with on-the-job training and growth opportunities within the family-owned company.

Responsibilities include preparing and displaying meat products, fulfilling orders, and maintaining a clean, organized department. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in coolers.

Qualifications

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Regular exposure to cold temperatures while working in or around coolers.

Responsibilities

• Multi-task across meat products, including beef, pork, and chicken.
• Cuts, wraps and displays meat & poultry per SKH specifications.
• Prepares specialty items such as sausage, patties, ka-bobs and other items.
• Ties meat cuts by hand to form roasts.
• Writes orders or describes available specialty products for Thanksgiving.
• Cleans department area and equipment; keeps products organized.
• Operates equipment and price scales as needed.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons; clears floor of restocking debris.
• Rotates products according to guidelines.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise to attract customers.
• Takes and processes customer orders ensuring timely preparation.
• Takes inventory to identify items needing reordering or replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Able to multi-task or adjust work focus regularly, to work with various different meat productssimultaneously, ie: beef, pork, chicken.
• Cuts, wraps and displays meat & poultry products according to SKH specifications.
• Prepares specialty items, such as sausage, patties, ka-bobs and others.
• Ties meat cuts by hand to form roasts.
• Writes orders or describes available specialty products, such as Turkeys for Thanksgiving.
• Cleans department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and displaycases; keeping products and supplies well organized.
• Operates equipment, if needed (if over 18 years of age).
• Operates price scale with knowledge of current prices. Prices or changes price tags onmerchandise referring to price list and in coordination with scan department.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice againstitems received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Rotates product according to departmental guidelines.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise in cases, on counters, or tables to attractcustomers and promote sales.
• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer request ensuring that product is ready on time.
• Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to bereordered or replenished.
