Job summary

Meijer in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Meat Cutter to assist in daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and ground meat, and to follow the production schedule for advertised cuts. You will support writing fresh meat orders, organize deliveries, and maintain quality service with customers and coworkers.

The role requires familiarity with weights and measures in meat processing, adherence to safety and sanitation procedures, and experience with inventory control.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities
