Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Vienna, VA is seeking a Meat Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the meat department, while upholding a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient service. You’ll follow SOPs and be prepared to perform duties across related roles.

No prior retail experience is required, and you’ll receive on-the-job training. The role includes lifting up to 50 pounds, flexible shifts, and a wage range of $16.00-$25.40 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh display by checking quality, stocking cases and shelves, rotating products.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists sampling program; keeps samples full, clean and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors and drains.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready; conducts required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling; answers phones promptly.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks, and merchandises products to maximize sales.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation and Weights & Measures.
• Keeps a clean sanitary environment; maintains equipment per standards.
• Performs opening/mid/closing duties and ensures correct signage and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
