Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk in Yorba Linda, CA to deliver G.O.A.T service by helping customers with meat selections and ensuring products are fresh, well-stocked, and properly displayed.

You will support daily department operations including cutting, packaging, labeling, and maintaining food safety standards. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to stand for extended periods while handling meat processing equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and service at all times.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with customers and teammates.
• Basic math and reading skills for handling pricing, labels, equipment, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Assist customers with purchases and services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, and serving suggestions.
• Wrap, weigh, trim, price, and adjust pricing for meat products per company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain proper stock and display in cases and deli, with proper rotation and schematics.
• Clean up wrapping, scaling, and cooking equipment according to sanitation procedures.
• Adhere to all safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Grind meat and prepare specialty items like kabobs and marinated cuts.
• Handle meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Order products, inventory, and supplies as assigned.
• Work with team to ensure smooth department operations and customer experience.
• All other related duties as required.
