Job summary

El Super is hiring a Meat Clerk for the #8 Phoenix location. You will deliver friendly service, help customers, and maintain meat displays. The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for long periods in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Join our store operations team and contribute to excellent value and community service. Starting rate is $16.50 per hour for this position.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Explain information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service and assist customers.
• Clean shelves, and display cases; rotate Meat Wrap displays.
• Take special orders with customers and coordinate with the Meat Cutter.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
